Tenth Anniversary - a time to look back & to look forward
The Ides is taking a break this month as it prepares to change authorship from Jody Cleveland (who has written The Ides since 2003) back to Joy Schwarz (who wrote The Ides from 1998 to 2002).
From its first issue in January 1998, the focus of The Ides has been to provide software tips & tricks for use by staff at libraries in the Winnefox Library System.
On the occasion of its 10th anniversary – and to ensure it continues to be a relevant and useful part of your work life – please use the comment feature on this blog posting to provide your thoughts about The Ides.
Thanks for your time & thoughts!

Ides tips
I've always enjoyed Ides - very helpful. Maybe you have already done this and I just haven't found it yet but.......when you post tips for Word or Firefox in Ides, could they be gathered in one place to refer to later without having to search Ides issues again? I may not need the tip today but it would be helpful to me if all of the "word" tips could be in one spot to quickly scan when I realize that now I could use that one tip. Sometimes key words pull up too much data to search through. Keep up the great work.
Ides tips
To find all the Word or Firefox tips gathered in one spot, just click on one of the tabs in Ides -- they're located at the upper right-hand side of the page, directly above the Search box.
And just yesterday I implemented a tag cloud -- it's also in the right-hand column, below the Recent Comments block (though I think I'll move it up higher). The ability to tag Ides tips will allow me to add additional keywords, to help you find exactly the Ides tip you're looking for. :-)
Thanks for the comments!
Ides
I like the ides format, you've included suggestions on the different Microsoft programs, which I've used and appreciate.
Could you add reminders on different computer maintenance type things?
I'm glad to see it continuing on.
