Shrink Your Word Document

When you've written something in Word 2007 and find the last page contains just a few sentences, it seems like a waste to print a whole page that doesn't contain much.

One option is to let Word work to shrink your document by one page by slightly reducing the size and spacing of the text.

Here's how:

1. With the Word document opened, click the Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.

2. In the menu, place your mouse pointer over Print, and click Print Preview.

3. In the horizontal "ribbon" at the top, in the Preview section, click "Shrink One Page".

Word will attempt to shrink the document; it will either complete successfully, or pop-up a message to let you know it was unsuccessful at smallifying it.

4. When finished, close the Print Preview window.

5. Save your document.
