Good news for those of you who use Bloglines, but didn't export your OMPL file into Google Reader ...

In the September issue of the Ides I wrote that web-based RSS reader Bloglines was planning to close down on October 1, 2010, which was subsequently pushed  back to November 1, 2010.  Now Bloglines has announced that parent company Ask.com entered into an agreement with MerchantCircle to keep Bloglines running.

• Your newsfeed subscriptions will remain available (with your same password) indefinitely.
• Ask.com will maintain the current Bloglines service as-is until at least December 1, 2010 after which the service will transition wholly to MerchantCircle.

Add the MerchantCircle blog to your RSS subscriptions to keep up to date on the transition.
